Fall Colors

My entire life every Fall I have been told how amazing the color changes are everywhere else in the country. I have heard that there are people who could not live in California because they would miss the seasons and the beautiful Autumn leaves. On my walk home from church today I came to a realizations. They are all full of bunk. They are making excuses as to why they live in (by choice or not) such cold, harsh dreary places instead of paradise. I say this because the pictures below were taken on my block on my way home from church. If you need more color than this become an artist. This is all the color I need especially when I can ride my bike to the beach.

For many reasons we have not had the boys photos taken for over a year. That is an eternity for me. The day after Thanksgiving I took the boys out front at my in laws and tried to make them Cooperate. These are the results. I think they will do for the time being.

Dylan Age 10 Grade 5

Chandler age 12 Grade 7

Elliot Age 5 Grade Kindergarten

I had been waiting for 18 months to chop my hair off again but I wanted it to go to locks of love. On Thanksgiving my Sis In Law measured it and we finally had enough. I told her to go ahead and take of as much as she could. So she grabbed a hold of the ponytail and cut.
Here is the Front!

This is the result 10-11 inches depending on which part you measured. I know I need a front view the picture will be taken shortly. I am without a doubt a short hair person and feel so much more like me with it. Not to mention the drying time is much easier.
We had a great Thanksgiving in San Diego with many members from my Husbands side of the family. I had my first Vegetarian Thanksgiving, and I enjoyed lots of Black Friday shopping this year. Including going to Michaels on Thanksgiving and scoring the best deals but I can't talk about them until after Christmas so my kids don't find out. I scored the biggest gift for myself from my Mother In Law. A Cricut machine. If you don't know what that it it doesn't matter, If you do I know you are so excited for me. You are welcome to come share in the joy and we can scrapbook, listen to glee, and eat chocolate. I think I went to target 5 times in 2 days, Michaels 3 times, Toys R Us once, Walmart once. I am totally done and ready to wrap. And I stayed in my meeger Budget. Yeah for me. I wish my husband had some idea of the self control I exhibited.
Anyone want to have a wrapping party with me. I was thinking one morning while the kids were in school or next Wednesday night
If any of you feel like buying me a Christmas Present I am dreaming about Glee Karaoke for the Wii.

Pomegranate's

Last year we moved into a house with 3 amazing Pomegranate trees. I was completely fascinated by how they started out. I thought I would share how a pomegranate evolves from the beginning. After they are green they turn into shades of red. They are ready to eat when they lose there "waxy" shine. The heavier the pomegranate the better. You can leave them in boxes etc for up to a few months. If you wait and leave them out for a week or more they will be sweeter. We had great success last year selling them for school field trips and we will be doing that this year as well. They start to be ready in October so be prepared to get yours before they are gone. Smoothie tip - I separated sections and froze them in baggies so I can throw them in smoothies all year long. They also help your green smoothies not be green so the kids are more likely to drink them.

Blend Tec Mix N Blend II

http://www.blendtec.com/products-page/mills-and-mixers/mix-n-blend-ii/

I totally have to give a shout out to this amazing machine. After months of research, decision making and deciding if the cost was worth it. I went for it last week and it was delivered yesterday. I have only used the blender part but I was truly in heaven. Since December I have gone through some major food changes in my diet. Cutting out many items which proved to make me feel sooo much better and has made many of my headaches vanish. In this change I have relied heavenly on spinach smoothies. If you have never tried one don't mock. They are delicious and so good for you. The problem was I would add the spinach, (do a load of dishes) add the fruit (fold some laundry) and add the ice (run to the store) at the end of all of that the blender was finally done mixing and there were still big clumps of spinach. (I didn't actually run to the store), Today with my totally fabulous mix and blend II my spinach smoothie was done in under 30 seconds. Can you believe it. I was to thrilled. The mixer is suppose to be truly one of a kind and I will try that out later today. On my list today, Almond Milk & Gluten free/ Egg free cookies. If you have a blender recipe I would love to have it. How do you use your blender?

Here goes nothin!

I really have no idea what I am doing as far as having a blog goes. I hope is it worth your time. Maybe it will be an outlet for me or at least a way to show off my scrapbooks. Who knows.
